Visions in Polymers
Looking forward to the future means wishing, dreaming and developing ideas. Every person has their own ideas, everybody has a very own vision of the world in 2030, 2040 or 2050. Most polymer materials were developed in the 20th century. And most likely, the pioneers of this invention also had their very own ideas of how their developments would improve the standards of living for humankind. But even the inventors were not able to imagine the actual achievements of plastics that we benefit from today. Plastics have changed our lives like no other material. Entirely taken for granted, it is impossible to imagine our day-to-day lives without it. Modern living without plastics is simply inconceivable. Polymers are the materials of the 21st century. Why not entertain some visions of what could be possible with plastics in the future?
